We’ve all dropped our cell phones in the toilet at some point. Okay, maybe not, but we all know that electricity and water don’t mix and it is with that in mind that LG is bringing the waterproof canU 502S to the international stage. The clamshell phone is basically Casio’s G’zOne TYPE-R, which is available only in the Japanese market.

Looking like a nifty scuba gear gadget, the phone is all sealed up in rubber, including all the jacks. It still comes with all the usual bells and whistles we’ve gotten used to lately, like the 1.3 megapixel camera, great for snapping underwater pics while you’re swimming around the Great Reef. Check out your snapshots on the 2.2 inch LCD display. For the less adventurous, you can at least feel better about chatting on your shiny green or orange phone while struggling your way through some torrential rainfall.

It’s not exactly cheap at $500, but hey, that’s the price you pay so you can explain to the wife why you dropped the phone in the toilet… again.
