Personally, I have a soft spot for sliders. I also like thin phones, more for the look than anything else. Well, Samsung has addressed both of those preferences with their new super-sleek SGH-T809, exclusively carried by T-Mobile. The thin (at 0.61 inches thick, that’s just on the cusp of Moto RAZR territory) slider phone comes with all the modern fixings.

A 262K-color 320-240 pixel TFT screen is perfect for displaying all the pictures you’re going to be taking with the 1.3 megapixel camera, which by the way is also capable of video recording. Listen to your favourite tunes using the MP3 playback capability and 70MB of internal memory. Yes, 70MB won’t hold too many songs, and Samsung is aware of this. That’s why this phone comes with TransFlash expansion, including a 32MB card packaged in. This quad-band (850/900/1800/1900) GSM phone is also Bluetooth-ready.

Weighing in 3.3 oz, the fairly compact (4.0 x 2.1 inches) Samsung T809 will be hitting your favourite T-Mobile store on Monday.
