Buffalo Technology has launched two modem/router bundles to its lineup: one for those wanting the best in the business, and another for those on a budget. Buffalo was the first WLAN vendor to provide 802.11g, and continues to work with such companies as Intel, Broadcom, and Microsoft to develop advances in the industry.

The new High Power Bundle (WMR-HP-G54) includes a Turbo G High Power Wireless Smart router and an ADSL2+ modem. This combination is said to increase range five-fold, provide an increase in speed of up to 50% and in wireless transmission power of 60%, as well as eliminate dead spots. Key to the improvement in range and performance is the built-in amplifier. Pick one up for £68.60.

The Low Cost Bundle (WMR-G54S) is designed for those watching their wallets, but can still provide adequate performance at a respectable price. Packaged in are Buffalo’s ADSL2+ modem and mainstream Turbo G smart router, both of which are meant to be easy to install and configure. The Low Cost Bundle will retail for £56.77.
