This follows a recent trend in electronics where people are, more and more looking for gadgets that reflect their personal style. Laptops will soon come wrapped in faux suede. Canon has taken a similar approach as Casio with their SD-30 digicams that come in a variety of colors.

Sporting a definite contemporary look, the 5.0 megapixel EX-Z500 comes with a 2.7-inch TFT color LCD screen and 3x optical zoom. For those of you with shaky hands (like me), Casio’s Anti Shake DSP technology helps reduce blurring while maintaining focus and clarity. The battery life is more than adequate with up to 500 shots on a single charge, the longest life within Casio’s digital camera line. Add to this, Direct On and 31scene Best Shot buttons, and it looks like Casio just might have itself a winner with the blue or red EX-Z500.
