Two new routers from D-Link’s stable – Wireless 108G MIMO Router and Wireless QoS Office Router – will offer the additional feature of StreamEngine Technology developed by Ubicom. D-Link has formally announced the selection of this technology for its new routers as it is projected to enhance the online experience for both business and consumer users.

Ubicom’s StreamEngine has already proved its effectiveness in supporting high-speed bandwidth operations and in prioritizing sensitive network traffic such as Voice over IP (VoIP), gaming and other video applications. By adding this technology to its two routers, D-Link aims to deliver high online connectivity performance to both small business enterprises as well as home users. Says Brian Larsen, Associate Vice President, D-Link, “Combining our award-winning home and office networking solutions with StreamEngine technology enables us to provide our customers with a real world value-added service that gives their critical applications deserved priority for an unparalleled network experience.”

The D-Link Wireless QoS Office Router (DI-724U) has been priced at $129 and could be bought from major retailers like CDW, Buy.com and Tiger Direct. The D-Link Wireless 108G MIMO Router (DI-634M) carries a much cheaper price tag of $99 and has also been made available in the market.
