Sharp to offer notebook branding options to customers

Sharp Systems of America has just contracted Laptop Design USA to provide branding services for its notebook computers. Laptop Design brands laptop PCs with its manufacturer’s proprietary, colors, trademarks and logos. It boasts of using a high quality process to apply robust, automotive-quality finishes to exterior surfaces. Of course, all this without harming the PCs’ internal hardware or negatively affecting the maker’s warranty.
Laptop Design’s paint specialists claim that they can match almost any color to produce matte, high gloss and metallic finishes. With ‘laptop branding’, notebook makers have found themselves another marketing avenue to build name recognition in this already tight market.
“The branding services that Laptop Design provides give us another valuable option we can offer our customers… Early car buyers could have any color they wanted as long as it was black. Notebooks and laptops have been typically limited to grey, black or silver. No more. Now we can deliver notebooks that have our customers’ colors and logos”, says Senior Director of Marketing for Sharp Systems Mark Romano.
