Kenwood has upgraded their PMP offerings with the HD30GA9. They call it the Media KEG, but it might not be as much fun as the kegs you had in college. As you could decode from the name, it offers a 30GB hard drive. It also sports a 2.2 inch QVGA color LCD screen. It measures 61×104x17mm and weighs 140g.

The press release is poorly translated from the original Japanese, so it is quite hard to figure out. It looks like they are really proud of the sound quality and have innovated on that front. It has a digital amp which is unique. They focus on making your tunes sound better with what they call Kenwood Lossless and Supreme decompression technology.

Kenwood will also be making an optional set of earphones available. The KH-C701 are fancy canal-type units.

The player will be available later this month and the earphones will be released in December. No word yet on the prices or if we will see either product over here.
