XM Radio now helps you find a parking spot

In the ongoing battery for satellite radio supremacy, XM Radio has taken another step toward taking Sirius out of the picture . Working with Nu-Metrics and InfoGation, XM Radio has now started testing “Dynamic Parking Information,” a system that works with your car’s navigation system to find you a parking spot. It searches parkades in your area and tells you where is the closest available spot.

The different parking garages are color coded based on how full they are. For those of us living in the big city, circling around and around trying to find somewhere to park, “Dynamic Parking Information” looks like a godsend. It’s still in the testing stages, but don’t be surprised if we find this service available in the very near future.
