King County Superior Court Judge John Erlick issued a temporary restraining order against former T-Mobile COO Sue Swenson on Monday in the case of T-Mobile USA v. Swenson. This restraining order prevents her from working as Amp’d Mobile’s COO until November 14, when an additional hearing will take place.

Joining Amp’d Mobile in October as chief operating officer (COO) and member of its Board of Directors, Swenson is currently on the Board of Directors of Wells Fargo & Company and has 15 years of C-level experience in the wireless industry.

“I am surprised to see T-Mobile take such aggressive action to seek to prevent Sue from working with Amp’d Mobile, particularly given that we do not compete with T-Mobile,” said Peter Adderton, CEO/founder, Amp’d Mobile. “I think this action shows just how little the legacy carriers understand what we’re doing at Amp’d and just how different a high-speed target, content-rich MVNO is from them.”

Amp’d Mobile will plans to be the first integrated mobile entertainment company for youth, young professionals and early adopters. The will offer traditional services such as voice and text within a completely fresh user interface designed specifically for the “mobile graduate” with third-generation (3G) technology.
