Just three months back, Kodak had announced its intention to make big moves in the digital camera segment through a new P-series, now the company has unveiled the first of the two cameras coming up in the series. Branded as the Kodak EasyShare P880, the new digital camera is promising high performance coupled with an easy to operate and handle design. The P880 seems to be Kodak’s response to an entry-level DSLR camera at a more competitive pricing range and with greater convenience for consumers.
With 8 Megapixel resolution along with RAW support, the first at such a resolution for an EasyShare camera. In terms of zoom lens, the P880 is offering both optical zoom, providing 24-140mm (35mm equiv.) as well as a manual zoom ring.
The camera is laced with different advanced photographic settings liked by camera enthusiasts and could very well give DSLRs a run for their money, especially at only US $999.
