A new iPod has surfaced. Oh wait, the m-cody MX-700 by Median, just looks like an iPod because the controls are almost exactly the same. Sadly for Median that is pretty much where the similarities end.
To start, this device tops out at just 2GB of flash storage and offers a super-handy 256MB model if you are desperate to be unable to store anything. It doesn’t have the SD slot which the earlier MX-400 model had. It has a 128×128 resolution LCD screen, which is fine, but it also has a built in speaker, which will take some proof to convince us that it is a great idea.
Here’s hoping that, whenever and wherever it makes it to market, it is cheap, because it strikes me as underwhelming.
