Sanyo, in cooperation with Sprint, released the MM-9000 handset today. It is one of the first phones released for use with Power Vision, Sprints New EV- DO multimedia network. Users get access to quality tunes, live TV, high-resolution digital imaging, fast Web browsing and On Demand – an information service allowing users to download personalized news, sports, weather and entertainment reports.
The MM-9000 sports an mp3 player, stereo headset, ubiquitous 1.3 megapixel camera and a camcorder. The removable 16MB miniSD memory card allows customers to record up to 30 seconds of video clips. Buying a bigger miniSD card allows you to shoot longer video clips, up to 120 minutes.
Share your photos, video clips and text messages to other compatible phones or to any email address with Sprint PCS Picture Mail.
The Sprint Power Vision multimedia service and phones are expected to be available to 130 million people in the US by mid November. The price of the MM-9000 is $379.99 or $229.99 after rebate.
