Magic Talker LM-500 PMP Multilingual Assistant

Eintech, the Korean translation giant, has launched the new Magic Talkers LM-500 series of translators and multilingual assistants. Like past models, this one accesses 28 different dictionaries to find the best translation for you from or to Chinese, English, French, Russian, German, Japanese, Russian, Korean or Spanish. It also has everything you need in a digital assistant in any of those languages, and it has full MP3 playback capabilities and a voice recorder.

Where the LM-500 really flexes its muscle, is with the PMP it offers. They provide video clips of conversations or situations to help you use the languages properly. Most fun though if you are watching a movie and come across a word you don’t know, you can jump right into the translator and figure it out without grabbing for another device. Think of how much more you’ll enjoy the Best Foreign Language Film category at the Oscars this year. Sure you could just buy some translation software for your PDA, but that wouldn’t be nearly as much fun.
