ATP Launches New ‘Tough’ USB Flash Drives

ATP Electronics has brought to market the USB ToughDrive. This is a new high-speed USB 2.0 flash drive designed for maximum durability for any mobile road warrior. The rubber housing makes it waterproof and shock-resistant.

These are the first ATP products made with its proprietary DuraSkin formula. DuraSkin is a protective compound layer that completely covers all the internal components, providing a safe second layer of protection against intense temperatures and external elements such as airborne dust, water and moisture. It also absorbs shock if one happens to accidentally drop it.

“Data capture and transfer is pervasive in almost every computing application. However, when users are working with critical information in highly mobile, remote or severe conditions such as on the water, intolerable heat, high winds or altitudes, or freezing temperatures, data cannot be compromised under any circumstance. The ToughDrive is the first flash drive specifically designed for the rugged market, giving mobile professionals the peace of mind they need to get the job done while in the field or in the office”, said ATP VP of Sales and Marketing Danny Lin.

The ATP USB ToughDrive is available in the following variants – 256MB, 512MB, 1GB, and 2GB. It can be divided and password-protected to ensure the security of your data. Further, it boasts a high performance 30MB/s data transfer speed for speedier file transfers and flawless multimedia streaming.
