Global imaging giant Sanyo has rolled out three new high resolution LCDs featuring “Photo Fine Chromarich” technology. The technology promises to bring the best NTSC color gamut, Sanyo plans to introduce these LCDs in the market early next year.
They will offer higher resolution and at the same time consume less power. The displays measure 2.2, 2.8 and 4.5 inches and are slated to support cellphones, digital cameras, PDAs and Portable Media Players.
The demand for LCDs with higher resolution and a wide spectrum of color variety has shot up significantly primarily because of the increase in usage of camera-equipped mobile phones that require better displays.
Sanyo Epson officials are claiming that their Photo Fine Chromarich displays perfectly respond to the demand of consumers for advanced displays as apart from superior resolution, it can also extend and enhance the effective color range. For widened color gamut technology, the company has made use of its color modulation expertise that facilitates reproduction of colors like emerald green in a crystal clear manner. These three models are being exhibited at FPD International 2005 at Pacifico Yokohama, Japan.
