Mediawill technology has announced that they have a deal with Dollar Thrifty to offer Telematic service in Hawaii. This will be the first technology of this kind to be introduced on the islands, customers will have navigation information as well as POI (Point Of Interest) search to let you know the location of a hotel, gas station, restaurant, etc near you via the mobile navigation terminal. You can also get discount coupons from various POI’s by using mobile coupons which are supplied through the navigation terminal.

Multiple language support for English and Japanese are included in the terminals. There are a total of 55,000 rental cars in Hawaii, including Dollar Thrifty and others.
