Sanyo HDP-M3000 – 6GB MP3 Player

Sanyo has released details on their new MP3 player. The HDP-M3000 has a 6GB drive and a bunch of other standard features. The release of the HDP-M300 officially puts Sanyo into the digital music player game.

Codec’s for the device include WMA DRM, and MP3. The player will feature an integrated microphone, 12 hours of battery life, and a small form factor of 9 x 5 x 2 centimeters at 87 grams.

The device looks pretty slick, dressed in white with chrome colored buttons, but to compete with Apple they will need to offer an extremely low price point. Sadly, they didn’t go too low, at US $217. Who knows if it will even hit the shores of North America, all that is mentioned so far is a UK launch.
