Astar Electronics has just launched two new portable widescreen DVD players, the PD 3010 and PD 3020. The new DVD players are ‘top loading’ and feature 6.5″ (PD 3010 model) and 7″ (PD 3020 model) screens. The PD 3020 model comes with two earphones and a splitter for sharing sound.

Both DVD players can be powered by an AC adapter, DC car adapter or rechargeable battery pack. They ship with a remote control and A/V cables, which enables composite connection to a monitor. They also support various playback formats such as DVD video, CD, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, DVCD, SVCD, CD-DA, CD-R/RW, MP3 and Kodak Picture CD.

“Our new portable DVD players combine the latest technology with a lightweight yet modern and durable design,” according Astar Marketing Director Sid Pickup.

The PD 3010 is now available at retail stores for US $119.99, while the PD3020 can be yours for US $129.99.
