LG Electronics has now come out with modified versions of two GSM handsets – the full-featured L1400i camera phone, and the sleek and stylish C1300i clamshell phone. Both these handsets were launched back in 2004 and have received good response from the community of mobile users.
Building on an existing successful base, the upgraded L1400i and C1300i models promise additional functionality meant to make navigation more of a convenient experience for users. The L1400i with clamshell design is offering multimedia messaging, two-way short messaging and mobile instant messaging. “Stay connected wherever you go” seems to be the bottom-line in this upgrade. Yahoo! Messenger service is also available in this phone while it boasts an integrated VGA camera with one side button that will facilitate users to snap shots easily without even opening the phone.
The other compact tri-band C1300i upgrade is offering LG’s high-resolution internal color screen, high-speed data transmission and JAVA capability for downloading applications, games and ring tones. Designed in LG’s trademark clamshell design, the new version also has Yahoo! Messenger instant messaging service and presently has been launched in silver color with small external mirror and a light that indicates an incoming call or message. It weighs only three ounces and is one inch thick.
Explaining the rationale behind the launch of the upgraded versions, Jon Maron, Director (Marketing), LG Electronics Mobile Communications says, “We’ve packed even more fun, useful features into each handset, offering users a pair of world-capable mobile phones which represent unparalleled value and versatility. We are constantly looking for ways to provide wireless users with the best mobile communications experience; today’s launch of the L 1400i and C 1300i is the latest example of that dedication.”
For mobile users in US, the new upgraded versions are available in Cingular Wireless retail stores.
