Playstation Portable goes white and gets an update

Sony has launched a white version of the Playstation Portable Gaming unit. I wonder if they are going to go the Creative way and announce all the colors of the rainbow in the future. The new white PSP comes with a matching white pouch and also gets its own model number, the PSP-1000 KCW.

In related news, Sony released firmware version 2.0 for the PSP. In this release they included a web browser, WPA-PSK wireless authentication, and extra picture file format support. Lets hope they didn’t fix the hackability.. err I mean.. the “extra” user addable features that version 1.50 provided us with. The firmware update will be available on the 27th of this month.
