The new C550 smartphone launched by Orange with 1.3 mega pixel camera, QVGA display, dedicated media keys and wireless music downloads is ready to become the talk of the town. The phone is operated on Microsoft’s Windows Mobile 2004 platform and could be a very close competitor to T-Mobile’s SDA music handset.
Other standard features of the C550 include Bluetooth, Infrared and of course tri-band connectivity. With a 64 MB memory card, strong multi-media capabilities which include Orange’s Music Player and Fire Player will allows users to remix from a selection of over 300, 000 songs. The C550 also supports other media formats like WAV, MP3 and MPEG4. Other than these new features, the C550 promises to have a very strong battery standby life of almost six days.
Orange’s strong offering will ensure that users who look for both usability and multimedia capacity of a phone are enamored by the new C550 even though exact pricing of the phone is not yet known.
