Sprint Launches LG PM-225 Camera Phone

Sprint has the exclusive launch of LG’s PM-225 camera phone, this mid ranged CDMA tri-mode phone has a built in camera and voice activated dialling, nothing too special but makes a great addition to Sprints affordable line up.

The clamshell design allows for two color displays; one 65K color STN LCD (128×160 pixels) on the inside, and a 65K color STN LCD (64×96 pixels) on the outside. The camera itself is powered by a VGA CMOS with 8x digital zoom, different color effects and 3 resolution settings (640×480 (VGA), 320×240 (QVGA), 160×120 (QQVGA))

The LG PM-225 weighs in at 3.35 oz and measures 3.53 x 1.76 x 0.93-inches. The guts of the phone feature 16MB of flash memory, and 8 MB of SRAM.

You can grab the phone for a pretty cheap, US $70 after the standard two-year commitment plus rebate. Without a contract expect to pay US $220, always an absurd price but I guess they gotta sign ya. For a complete list of specifications and plans you can check out Sprint’s page.
