Nextel mobile phone clients will soon have a new photo feature to play with. Fujifilm will offer its Get The Picture Mobile Service, a photo management feature to store, share, and print photos to Nextel customers.

Access to over 3,100 participating digital processing retail stores nationwide and getting prints directly from your phone in an hour will be included in the service. On-the-spot photographs can be professionally printed faster than ever.

Fujifilm’s Get The Picture, which enhances Nextel’s PhotoShare web site, is currently available to Nextel customers via mobile phones and the web site. The new user-friendly, interactive feature was developed by Summus, Inc., a mobile media applications provider.

Cell phone cameras are producing sharper images, and photo companies like Fujifilm are bound to get in on the mobile action. From the enhanced web site users can upload camera and digital phone images and create online galleries and slideshows to share with family, friends, and foes. Be mindful of the small print. Nextel clients can use its PhotoShare feature free for 30 days. The per month charge after that is $2.99 if you choose to keep it.
