Apple Merges iPod Lineup, Ditches Black and White

Apple has announced that they will be merging their iPod and iPod Photo lineups into a single line of players that feature colour screens and the ability to view photos, album artwork, and run slideshows. Basically they are just eliminating the black and white display iPod models and replacing them all with the iPod photo.

The new iPod models will come in both 20GB and 60GB priced at $299 and $399 respectively. They did away with the 30GB version, which in my opinion was a perfect capacity, but oh well, the 60GB only being $100 more won’t hurt.

Also featured in the new release is Podcast book marking which will allow you to download your favorite Podcasts automatically through iTunes when you connect your iPod to your PC.
