We’ve seen many mobile phones with MP3 functionality, it seems that digital cameras will be next to be swept with the audio playback technology.
Samsung’s i50 is another digital camera to add MP3 file support, if you like to listen to music in the background while you are documenting your adventure, or simply to lighten up the gear bag and combine a couple things. The Samsung Digimax i50 MP3 is a compact 5.0 megapixel camera, it measures 3.5 x 2.4 x 0.7-inches and will surely fit in your shirt pocket. The LCD on the flipside is gigantic compared to its overall size, a 2.5-inch display which makes the i50 look like nothing more than an LCD screen in a shiny silver case.
It comes with 50MB of internal memory, not a whole lot, but enough for a few hours of music. Memory can be expanded through SD/MMC. Images are captured in JPG (EXIF 2.2) format, videos with audio are captured at 640×480, and at 30fps. A lower quality 160×128 video mode is also available, but why bother.
No price is set yet on the aluminum bad boy, but it is expected out later this year.
