Sony Ericsson and Vodafone launch V600i handset

Vodafone will get the exclusive release of Sony Ericsson’s new 3G UTMS phone, the V600i. The V600i is a sleek looking candybar phone with a built in 1.3 megapixel camera with lens cover, 4x digital zoom, and LED flash. The phone will also feature push e-mail allowing you to receive your e-mail directly on your phone just like RIM’s blackberry device.

The body of the phone will house a 1.8-inch 262k color TFT screen. Also featured, Bluetooth, FM radio, MP3 player, streaming video, and 3D Java games. The phone will include tiny 32MB of built in user memory to store your digital media which you will be able to synch via USB. The V600i is also capable of handling video calls over a UTMS network.

The V600i will be available in Vodafone stores starting in some markets in early Q3 2005. No word yet on pricing.
