ATI Mobility Radeon X800 XT announced

ATI has announced an upgrade to its mobile gaming chipset, the X700. The new Mobility Radeon X800 XT chip is set to raise the bar yet again with unsurpassed mobile gaming.

The sales of laptops have skyrocketed lately due to the fact that they are becoming more and more like desktop replacements with prices lower than ever. The current ATI mobility gaming chips will further that drive by allowing gamers to make the switch. Previously, gamers shuddered when they thought of gaming on a laptop until companies such as Alienware introduced their line of gaming laptops.

The X800 XT will feature 16 pixel pipelines 256-bit memory interface, six vertex engines, and GGDR3 support.

Expect to see the X800 XT in laptops by Alienware, Rock, Eurocom, VoodooPC, HyperSonic, Pro-Star, Velocity Micro and Sager soon.
