Casio has announced a new mobile phone aimed at the outdoor type featuring a rugged design; the Casio G’zOne. The only catch is that the phone will only be available in Japan with no word if it will hit North American streets.

The G’zOne handsets are both waterproof and shock resistant. The phone also features a bunch of goodies that you’d love to see on your hike such as an illuminated clock, stop watch, electronic compass, and a digital camera. The round clamshell design houses two screens, a 2.2-inch QVGA screen on the inside and a 1.0-inch round screen on the outside. The phone will come in three different colors (black, red, green-yellow) and will be available through KDDI in Japan.
