Samsung #1 Ultra-Slim 5 Megapixel Digital Camera

Samsung has released info on their new camera which is aimed at going head to head with the likes of the Nikon Coolpix S1/S2. Yesterday they released a teaser for the camera’s North American debut under the name of the Samsung #1 but it has been spotted in the UK under the name of the Samsung i5.

The Samsung #1/i5 is a slim digital camera (only 17.3 mm thick) housed in a stainless steel body with internal 3x zoom technology. Also housed in the body are a 2.5-inch 230k color LCD screen and a 5 megapixel CCD sensor. Other features include movie mode, 1cm macro mode, and four different special effects (Color, Photo Frame, Highlight and Composite).

The camera should hit shelves June 1st for a price of 250 pounds (~$450 USD).
