Option Wireless announced their latest GlopeTrotter EDGE data card will be available as of next month. The Quad band E-GPRS/GPRS/GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz PC Card will work wordwide, even on USA PCS networks. The high-quality connection of EDGE will offer connection speeds up to four times faster than on GPRS networks (236.8 kbps).

The card will function only on Microsoft Windows powered notebook computers at this time, Mac OS and Linux are available by request. For security, the EDGE card supports IPSec client software for end-to-end secure corporate data exchange and synchronization over VPN.

No price on the GlobeTrotter EDGE PC Card was set, that will be left to the carriers.
