Samsung V600 Horizontal Display Phone

Samsung has officially announced an upgrade to the V500 horizontal display LCD phone. The CDMA SCH-V600 has a bunch of new features along with a more compact design than its predecessor.

The V600 offers a horizontal 1.9-inch 262K Color TFT screen, a 1.3 megapixel camera, and TransFlash media slot. As for the changes, they managed to reduce the length of the phone by 6.5mm, the width by 3.3mm and the thickness by 1.6mm. The phone will also come with embedded games, two of which take advantage of the horizontal screen.

The phone will be available later this month in Korea with no word on a North American release. Samsung did not release many details on this handset, but I’m sure we will see more once a local carrier picks it up.
