Sony Ericsson S710a finally on Cingular

Cingular will be the first to offer the much anticipated Sony Ericsson S710a camera phone with flash. It features a 1.3 megapixel CCD camera (8X digital zoom), video recording, an extra large 2.3-inch scratch-proof 262k colour TFT LCD screen and a swivel-style body. When swiveled shut, the S710a appears to be a standard digital camera, when swiveled open the keypad appears for your dialing, organizing and gaming needs.

Integrated Bluetooth, Infrared and a MemoryStick Duo card slot make it perfect for transferring data and storing lots of it. Sony Ericsson Sync Station 1.5.5.3 will allow you to Synchronize your Microsoft Outlook calendar, contacts, notes and tasks. Sony Ericsson rates the battery life at 7 hours talk time and 300 hours standby, Cingular is saying only 4 hours talk time and 260 standby, we will let you figure it out.

The price is average for a new phone that has just hit the market, this would definitely be a better choice than the Sanyo MM-5600 announced yesterday. It will run you $449.99 with a 2-year contract, $50 more on a 1-year and $100 more without one.
