Archos is boasting with the release of the first 100GB portable video player. The AV4100 is in the same line up as the AV400’s previously released by Archos, the only real difference except price ($799 USD) is the huge amount of storage space available to record from your TV, VCR or just about any other video source. ARCHOS claims to be the only company with a 100 gigabyte PVP and recorder, we won’t argue that.

The AV4100 maintains all the same features and functionality as the AV420 and AV480 did, with full DVD resolution playback of up to 704×480 and recording resoluation at 512×384.

It will transfer data via the USB 2.0 high-speed port, the built-in CompactFlash port or through SD, SM, MMC, MS and MS Pro memory with an optional 4 in 1 adapter.
