T-Mobile Germany has announced the first Windows Mobile based multi-function communication terminal dubbed the MDA IV. With a QWERTY keyboard and 640 x 480 display that is capable of flipping, twisting and turning like a tablet PDA, the MDA IV pumps out some serious power with it’s 520MHz Intel XScale PXA270 processor.

It’s still a mystery on who is building this pocket wonder, but The Register suspects Taiwaneese manufacturer HTC. Regardless of it’s creator, most of it’s design can be attributed to the AT&T’s oGo and most obviously Danger’s Hiptop Communicator. The MDA IV boasts a Tri-Band GSM radio for cellular communications in all countries, Wi-Fi and of course Bluetooth. Expansion slots, memory, price and global availability as of yet are unknown.
