Nokia Squashes N-Gage Scrap Rumors

Yesterday we posted rumors that Nokia has plans to scrap their N-Gage phone/portable game system. Well, Nokia came out today saying that the rumors are false.

“Nokia have no intention of shutting down the N-Gage,” Computer and Video Games was told by a N-Gage spokesperson. “We are completely committed to the platform. It’s not going anywhere.” They also stated that. “These rumors are completely without foundation,”

So, who knows what will come of it. Many people who own the phone say that it was a cheap phone on a pay-as-you-go system, they didn’t buy it with the main idea of using it as a game device, it was just a bonus.
