Samsung has received approval from the FCC for its new 2 megapixel camera phone. This will be the first 2 megapixel camera phone to hit the North American market. This CDMA2000 1xEV-DO phone sports a 262 color TFT screen and a TransFlash memory slot. Another feature included is the ability to record video in MPEG4 format.

Expect to see the phone soon on the Sprint network, but note that the EV-DO feature won’t be available yet, due to Sprint not supporting it.
