New PillCam Takes Pictures at 14 Frames Per Second

Don’t remember what you had for dinner last night? No problem, Given Imaging has created a PillCam, the first company to produce a capsule endoscopes which can image the esophagus. Givin’s PillCam allows users to swallow the device while it takes pictures of the patients esophagus at 14 frames per second. The device has been granted FDA approval and will hopefully be in use at medical centers soon.
