Matsushita Electric Industrial or Panasonic as we know them, have unveiled their new camcorder which they have coined as the worlds smallest 3 megapixel CCD camcorder. Weighing in at 420 grams and measuring 71 x 73 x 123mm the camcorder packs a real punch for a lightweight at 2.32 megapixel CCD (800,000 x 3 pixel).
We don’t know when the device will be seen on North American soil, but the price in Japan is 79,800 yen, which is about $777 USD.
I really can’t believe how much camcorder prices have come down over the past few years. I bought a miniDV camera, the Canon ZR25 back 4 years ago for around $1000USD and now they sell far more advanced models for around $400 bucks. Oh well, you win some and you lose some.
