For anyone that can never live a moment without a devices battery going dead, or for those who travel around and may not have access to a standard power outlet or cigarette lighter, then you may find a use for the Socket Mobile Power Pack. It is a small 7200 mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery that will connect to and re-charge your Pocket PCs, PDAs, mobile phones, Smartphones, MP3 players and digital cameras. With one of these fully charged, you could get around 10 recharges to your Pocket PC, or even 15 charges to your mobile phone. The device is fairly simple, it has a plug, which you plug into your device, and two LEDs; one for low battery the other for charging.

Sadly, some popular devices like the Apple iPod 3G/4G/Mini, and some Nokia, Sony Ericsson and Siemens mobile phones require 6 or 9 volt power supplies. The Socket Mobile Power Pack only outputs 5 volts, you would then require a 6 or 9 volt booster, thus adding to your baggage of gear.

It measures 4 x 3 x 1-inches, weighs 11oz and will sell for $115 from Amazon.com.
