Tapwave has announced a Wi-Fi SD card for use in the Palm OS powered Zodiac handheld. As it stands now, the Zodiac has built-in Bluetooth, SDIO slot, 3.8-inch colour LCD and a Yamaha audio interface that controls stereo speakers and vibration effects.

Adding Wi-Fi to the device will allow for new features; internet connectivity, network file sharing, head-to-head gaming with other Wi-Fi Zodiacs will all be possible with Wi-Fi.

This will also keep it alive in the market against the Wi-Fi based Nintendo DS and the future Sony PSP handhelds. My guess is that this is the same card that will allow the new Tungsten T5 to connect via Wi-Fi.
