A virus targeted to Symbian Series 60 handsets was released this week, infected phones have been plagued with replaced icons of skull images prior to their phones becoming unbootable. The Skulls Trojan was found in a program called “Extended Theme Manager” by “Tee-222″, it can be downloaded from various shareware sites (but obviously you don’t want to install it).

Recovery is almost impossible unless you have some type of third-party file manager application previously installed. No report from Symbian or any Anti-Virus companies has been released yet, I have my suspicions that this could be from the Skull & Bones Society.
