Intel has cut their prices on mobile processors this week. Some chips have dropped in price by as much as 34 percent. If you have been looking around for a new laptop, this seems to be a good time buy.
The main reason behind the cuts is to make room for the new Centrino brand of chips, the high-end Intel Pentium M processors were among the ones that received the highest price chop.
Despite the cuts, Intel has reported record-high sales of mobile computer microprocessors in 3Q of 2004. Lots of competition still out there, especially from AMD.
