Apple iBook G4 with 802.11g for $999

Apple Computer today began offering a faster more affordable iBook G4 starting at only $999. The iBook will be available in 1.2 GHz or 1.33 GHz speeds with a built-in AirPort Extreme 54 Mbps 802.11g wireless adapter. Encased in a sleek, durable polycarbonate plastic enclosure, the 12 or 14-inch iBooks have enhanced graphic support with the 32MB ATI Mobility Radeon 9200 with DDR memory. Using the fast AGP 4x architecture will give your games and DVD movies a boost in performance.

The 1.2 GHz PowerPC G4 iBook, weighing just 4.9 pounds, has a suggested retail price of $999 (US) and includes:
• a crisp 12.1-inch (diagonal) active-matrix TFT display;
• 256MB DDR SDRAM expandable to up to 1.25GB maximum memory;
• a 30GB Ultra ATA hard drive;
• AirPort Extreme 54 Mbps 802.11g wireless networking;

    The Wowee One is a small portable bass speaker (subwoofer) measuring 4.7 x 2.4 x 1-inches. It’s capable of sending out 90db of sound between the 40Hz – 20KHz range, and creating a dynamic subwoofer out of nearly any flat surface imaginable. It has an internal battery with an estimated 20 hours of playtime per charge.
