3G Devices to hit 667MHz with Samsung Mobile CPU

Samsung today announced a 667MHz mobile application processor that is expected to enable outstanding multimedia content and 3D gaming to future smart phones and PDA handhelds.

This increase in speed will support real time video images and high-density multimedia services, the ARM1020E processor carries up to 64Kilo Bytes of cache memory with an embedded vector floating point co-processor enabling simultaneous computing of irregular decimal points and fixed numbers.
