Siemens has plans to ship their S65 handset with the new Sandisk 32MB RS-MMC card to dealers in Europe, Asia Pacific and Latin America by October 2004. The RS-MMC is roughly half the size of a postage stamp, it was unveiled this past march at CeBIT 2004 and will come packed with a full suite of business software including; instant messaging, and synchronization with Microsoft Outlook and IBM’s Lotus Notes.

The S65 features video recording at 15 fps, files can be e-mailed and played back on the phone, or stored on the RS-MMC. The card will ship with an extender adapter, this will allow you to insert it into a full-sized MultiMediaCard/Secure Digital slot. SanDisk’s RS-MMC, measuring 24 by 18 by 1.4 mm, is about half the size of a standard MultiMediaCard.
