Apple Computer has agreed to recall 28,000 batteries used in their 15-inch version of the PowerBook G4 laptop. The report came in from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission today.

The batteries manufactured by LG Chem Ltd 051910.K of South Korea have been found to pose a fire hazard because of overheating.

Only four actual reports have been recorded from overheating, Apple is playing it safe and recalling the batteries before any injuries occur.
