Palm.net Ceases Operation August 31st

After five years in operation, PalmOne will terminate its Palm.Net service on August 31, 2004. The older Palm VII, VIIx and i705 handhelds will still be able to operate in non-wireless mode, they cannot be transferred to another network due to the restrictions on the devices.

PalmOne is offering existing Palm users a $100 discout towards any Treo 600 upgrade and a six-month trial of the Handmark Pocket Express.
