The Rio Forge is another MP3 player that will go on sale this month from Digital Networks North America, although with much less storage then the Rio Carbon 5GB, the Rio Forge is even smaller in size. It will push 20 hours on a single charge and will do it on a single AAA battery.

It comes in 512MB, 256MB and 128MB versions but supports SD or MMC cards making it upgradeable to 1GB of memory. A new unique feature is the FM recording option, with USB 2.0 you will be able to transfer data back and forth with extreme speed, and a stopwatch/lap timer for use in the gym or while running. Prices range from $139 to $199 for the Forge players and come with a sport clip style earphones and armband case.
