Microsoft talks $50 iPod Competitor

Correction: The Denver Post last week misinformed readers by incorrectly summarizing Mehdi’s speech about a $50 Microsoft iPod killer. The fact is, Microsoft said they will attempt to sell portable music players for around 80% less than Apple’s iPod. This would more realistically price the device anywhere from $80 to $150, even still how could they afford to offer a large amount of storage at this price?
Microsoft’s iPod killers are planned to go on sale later this year along with an MSN Music Download Store, which goes up against iTunes.
