Around 13 months after the initial release to U.K., China, and Hong Kong, Siemens has decided to drop the Xelibri line of fashionable mobile communication tools. When launched Siemens was targeting people who bought mobile phones that look the best, and would have a tendency of showing it off.

With only 780,000 Xelibri phones sold, not even 2% of the company’s total mobile phone sales, Siemens has discontinued this line based on the realization that most consumers aren’t interested in paying premium prices for fashionable phones that people wear to match their mood, occasion or attire.
